Dumplings with cherries and steamed semolina

These sweet dumplings will be very popular with your family. Using this recipe, you can prepare dumplings with any berries you like. Dumplings with cherries are one of my favorite delicacies from my distant childhood :) My grandmother prepared them, and my brother and I picked out the pits from the cherries. And this process wasn’t even tiring, because we knew that our efforts would be rewarded with excellent food :) And now I cook dumplings with cherries according to the same culinary recipe that my grandmother used to prepare them. It’s a good idea to sprinkle the cherries with semolina, I wouldn’t have thought of that. I just didn't sprinkle it with sugar so it would leak less. and I added sugar already when the cherries were put in the dough, just before pinching

I read the recipe for dumplings with cherries and now I know the secret why cherry juice does not flow out of the dumplings. I tried these dumplings as a child, and my mother’s sister made them, but I myself only made them once and they didn’t work out for me. And then the moment came when I understood why my dumplings were not tasty, they fell apart, etc. I immediately started making dumplings according to your recipe. I have frozen cherries saved from summer. And everything worked out this time. The family was pleased.
