Classic alcoholic punch

Pleasant taste, light alcoholic note – we’ll beat the cold! Punch is usually drunk when there is bad weather outside and when you have a cold. It is served in special dishes and hot. You'll like it! But this aromatic and healthy drink is nice to serve at the holiday table. Naturally, the drink is contraindicated for children!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

First, let's measure out the tea leaves, i.e. leaf tea. And then we’ll add the spices specified in the recipe or that you and the person you’ll be treating love.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Let's heat the water, but not to boiling water. We need to pour water over the tea and spices. Cover with a lid and wait for the tea to steep. Usually a quarter of an hour is enough.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

In the meantime, cut a few slices from the lemon in the format you like.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Let's lift the lid, because the tea has brewed. Here it is - beautiful, fragrant.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Our task is to strain the tea in a convenient way so that it is clean and transparent. It would be good to use a fine strainer.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

And now we do everything one by one and quickly. First, measure out the rum and place it in a saucepan with tea.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Then measure out the sugar and add it to the tea and rum mixture.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Now we need lemon juice. Squeeze it in a convenient way into a saucepan or separately, and then add it here.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

The punch mixture is ready. Stir it and cook for a quarter of an hour, reducing the heat to low, literally simmering it, not letting it boil. At the end, add lemon slices and serve while the drink is still hot!

Thank you for participating in the Best Recipe of the Week competition. I've been meaning to make some punch (though non-alcoholic) for a long time now, but I never got around to it. Excellent recipe. Regarding the photo. Everything is fine, only the front edge of the glass turned out blurry, and the back edge was clear. Because of this, the contents in the glass were not as clear as they could have been. You can achieve clarity in the foreground in this way: point the camera at the bottom edge of the photo, lightly press the start button until you hear a characteristic squeak indicating that focusing is complete, then raise the camera a little higher and press the button fully. This way, your clarity will be fixed in the foreground, and it will not go anywhere, even though you have changed the angle by moving the lens higher. This technique works when photographing in auto mode and if you photograph in aperture mode with autofocus. I use this technique all the time and always have a clear foreground and a blurry background. This applies to snacks, salads, and drinks.
