STEP 1

How to make chicken drumsticks in sour cream in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. You can use sour cream of any fat content. Add spices and seasonings to taste. Wash the chicken drumsticks and dry well with paper towels.
STEP 2

Squeeze the juice from half a lemon. This can be done manually or using a citrus juicer.
STEP 3

Peel the garlic and wash it. Pass the garlic through a press or grate it on a fine grater.
STEP 4

Combine sour cream with lemon juice, chopped garlic, and Provençal herbs. Add salt and ground black pepper. Mix everything well. The higher the fat content of the sour cream, the thicker the marinade will be. I used 10% sour cream.
STEP 5

For marinating, select a container of suitable size so that it is convenient to mix the drumsticks. Pour the sour cream marinade over the drumsticks.
STEP 6

Mix the chicken legs well so that they are evenly coated with sour cream. Massage them a little. Cover the bowl and let the drumsticks marinate for 1 hour. During this time, stir the drumsticks 1-2 times so that they are evenly soaked in sour cream on all sides.
STEP 7

Place the drumsticks in a baking dish along with the remaining marinade. You can use a ceramic or heat-resistant glass mold, or a small baking tray.
STEP 8

Bake chicken drumsticks in an oven preheated to 180C for 30-35 minutes. Cooking time may vary, as it depends on the operating characteristics of the oven. To check if the dish is done, pierce one of the drumsticks with a knife. If light juice comes out, it means the legs are ready.
STEP 9

Serve chicken drumsticks in sour cream with any side dish. Bon appetit!
