  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a no-bake cake Broken glass with jelly and cookies? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Sour cream is suitable for any fat content. Remove it from the refrigerator in advance so that it is at room temperature. Choose dry jelly in different colors to make the cake more colorful. I have jelly with raspberry (red), mango (yellow) and kiwi (green) flavors.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First make colored jelly. Prepare each type of dry jelly according to the instructions on the package. But take 2 times less water to make the jelly denser and more elastic. Then it will be easy to cut into pieces. I poured 135 ml of boiling water over each dry jelly and stirred well until dissolved (according to the instructions). Cool the jelly to room temperature, then refrigerate until set, about 3 hours.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Remove the frozen jelly from the molds and cut into small cubes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour gelatin with cold boiled water (120 ml), stir and leave for 20 minutes until it swells.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Dissolve the gelatin in a water bath, stirring constantly until completely dissolved. You can dissolve gelatin over low heat. At the same time, do not forget to stir. Make sure that the gelatin does not boil, otherwise it will lose its properties. Cool the gelatin slightly.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Combine cold sour cream with sugar and beat at low speed with a mixer. If the sour cream is cold, then when combined with gelatin, unwanted lumps may form due to the temperature difference.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

While whisking continuously, gradually pour the gelatin solution into the sweet sour cream in a thin stream. Whisk until it is evenly distributed throughout the entire volume of sour cream.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place multi-colored jelly cubes and cookies into the sour cream mixture with gelatin. Mix everything quickly. The mass will begin to thicken noticeably.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

You can take a domed mold for dessert. To make the dessert convenient and easy to remove, first cover the mold with cling film. Pour the resulting mixture into the mold and smooth it out. Refrigerate the cake until set, about 5 hours.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Turn the finished dessert over onto a plate and remove the film. Cut the cake into pieces and serve. Bon appetit!

I made the Broken Glass cake with crackers according to this recipe for the family, the taste is amazing! Multi-colored jelly should be prepared with a little less water, then it will be straight dense cubes and will not spread in the finished cake. Any cracker is suitable, I used poppy seeds. It “swelled” moderately in the cake, and the poppy seeds added additional flavor. Good sour cream, high-quality gelatin - my cake was ready to eat in half a day! Great recipe, we really liked it. It will now be one of my favorite desserts!

Unusual, tasty, satisfying and without oven))) Ideal for those who are learning to cook and for those who love sweets) Both of my nephews love jelly very much, so I decided to please them with an unusual presentation of the desired jellies))

I often make a similar cake, only not with jelly, but with fruits and berries, and sometimes I bake a sponge cake instead of cookies. Anything goes: strawberries, black currants, peaches, kiwi. In general, there is a lot of room for imagination. I will definitely try your recipe, it looks very nice.

I absolutely love all kinds of jellies. Therefore, this cake took its rightful place in my cookbook. I also tried taking marmalades instead of jelly. No less delicious. Previously I cooked exclusively with sponge cake, now I’ll try it with cookies. I agree, fruits are simply perfect for such a wonderful cake.

It turned out to be a delicious cake! True, it is better to prepare it in two batches - make multi-colored jelly in advance so that it has time to harden. I followed the recipe step by step. While the gelatin was soaking, I just had time to mix the jelly. I whipped the sour cream in a blender for about 5 minutes, and as a result I had to put it in the refrigerator after the jelly. And the very next day I finished it. Mixing everything takes about 5 minutes, the main thing is to prepare the semi-finished products in advance)) Next time I’ll prepare the jelly in the morning so that in the evening it’s ready to cut and mix the cake.
