Milk soup with rice
An excellent breakfast dish for children and adults. Milk soup with rice is a great start to the day for everyone. My husband often asks me to make this soup for him - it reminds him of his childhood and kindergarten years. The soup turns out to be very satisfying, and most importantly, very healthy.
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

To prepare milk soup with rice, prepare the necessary ingredients.
STEP 2

Rinse the rice until the water becomes clear. This will prevent it from sticking together during the cooking process.
STEP 3

Place the washed rice in a saucepan, add water, add salt and put on fire. Cook the rice until it boils over medium heat, and after the water boils, reduce the heat.
STEP 4

Cook the rice until done. During this time, the water in the pan will evaporate.
STEP 5

Add butter, sugar and milk to the rice. After boiling, cook the rice for another 5 minutes and remove the pan from the heat. Leave the rice covered for 10 minutes.
STEP 6

I made milk soup with rice for breakfast. In essence, the result is the same milk rice porridge, only more liquid. I prepared for three servings. The portions are quite large. Instead of four tablespoons of sugar, I only added two, and it turned out quite sweet. I poured half the amount of milk suggested (300 ml). It turned out something between soup and porridge.
