Friendship porridge with millet and rice

Very tasty porridge made from millet and rice with raisins! There is such a two-handed saw "Friendship". It is assumed that when sawing together, it strengthens the friendship. Whether this is really so, I cannot say. But in the culinary recipe for porridge of the same name, two grains are also trying to be friends - rice and millet. And, it seems, they do it well, perhaps even better than the saw. But that’s what food is for, to bring people together at one table. Try to feed this porridge to your child and his friends, and I swear that within half an hour there will be no clashes or fights between them, because everyone will be busy only with food.

This is my favorite porridge since childhood. I cooked it myself for the first time. But it turned out just as delicious as when I was a child. Thanks for the recipe!

The porridge did not work out:(((For 3 cups of cereal I took 1 liter of milk. The cereal was not cooked yet, and there was almost no liquid left, I had to add water (there was no more milk). The rice was cooked, but the millet was not. The result was not at all the same , what did I expect, you can cut the porridge with a knife. Still, for short-grain rice, you need to take at least 2.5 times more milk than cereal.

It's strange that the porridge didn't work out. The cooking time for cereals is the same. Apparently the dish is not yours. This is so delicious!

The recipe says 2 tbsp of cereal for 2 liters of milk. And you took 3 tbsp of cereal for 1 liter of milk, that is, 3 times less liquid, that’s why it didn’t work. The recipe is very good, I often cook it in the same proportion. Porridge is delicious. In cooking, proportions are often important. Good luck

Vikusha, I also want to note that 3 glasses of cereal will make a lot of porridge. This medium-thick porridge is cooked in a ratio of 1 to 6. In a 200 g glass there is approximately 180 g of millet or rice. From 1 liter of milk you get 4 servings of porridge. But everyone has their own taste, some like it thicker, some like it thinner. Try it and you will be happy.
