Prepare the ingredients.
STEP 2

We wash the strawberries.
STEP 3

Mix water and sugar.
STEP 4

Place the pan on the fire and cook until it boils.
STEP 5

Add strawberries to the syrup.
STEP 6

Cook for another 5 minutes over medium heat, skimming off the foam and stirring.
STEP 7

Fill the jars prepared in advance with jam and screw it on, you can eat the excess like this :)

True, I don’t know whether they were wild strawberries or from the garden... Now I can’t even imagine where you can get enough strawberries to make jam?! But for us, her grandchildren, grandmother always did the impossible! We ate most of this wonderful jam while it was still cooking... But we always had a couple of jars left over for the winter! Now almost no one makes rose jam. And during my childhood, rose bushes grew in every garden for jam or syrup... But that’s another topic...)

And I never add water to jam. Before cooking, I cover any berries or fruits with sugar and leave them to release the juice. I love thick jam.
