TaciturnPerson, thank you for the pleasant memories! When we were children, every summer our grandmother prepared sweet, aromatic, delicious, delicious strawberry jam! How we loved this time! True, I don’t know whether they were wild strawberries or from the garden... Now I can’t even imagine where you can get enough strawberries to make jam?! But for us, her grandchildren, grandmother always did the impossible! We ate most of this wonderful jam while it was still cooking... But we always had a couple of jars left over for the winter! Now almost no one makes rose jam. And during my childhood, rose bushes grew in every garden for jam or syrup... But that’s another topic...)

The compote turned out. There is clearly too much water here. It's good that I didn't do much testing.

And I never add water to jam. Before cooking, I cover any berries or fruits with sugar and leave them to release the juice. I love thick jam.
