  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Before decorating eggs, you should first boil them properly. To do this, you need to follow some rules. So, let's begin. Remove the eggs from the refrigerator and bring them to room temperature, letting them sit at room temperature for 1 hour. To prevent the eggs from rolling and hitting each other too much during cooking, take a small ladle in which the eggs will be boiled.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Next, place the eggs in a ladle of cold water. Add salt to the water at the rate of 2 tablespoons per 1 liter. This is done so that the eggs do not crack and even if this happens, the white will not leak out. 1 minute after the water boils, reduce the heat and cook for 10-12 minutes, no more. It is very important not to overcook the eggs, as the white will taste rubbery and the yolk will become covered with an unpleasant grayish coating. Cool the hot eggs.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Now prepare the paste. To do this, brew flour in boiling water (0.5 tbsp), mix well and cool at room temperature.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Prepare the napkins. Separate the napkins into layers, leaving only the top layer with the pattern. It is best to choose napkins with a pattern that uses small elements, because they are easier to cut and can be arranged more beautifully. But you can also work with large drawings. Cut out the pieces with the design.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place these pieces one by one on the eggs and stick them using the previously prepared paste and a very ordinary brush. Let them dry on an egg rack (I used a plastic one that usually sits in the refrigerator) for 2-3 hours. Then you can transfer the eggs to where they will be stored until Easter.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

You can pack such eggs in a gift box, decorate it with tinsel, for example, and congratulate your family and friends on the holiday.

This year for Easter we decided to decorate eggs according to your recipe. Decoupage Easter eggs with colored napkins. Children of different ages took part in the process. It was very interesting and entertaining! When the paste had dried, we applied glitter on top of the flowers. It turned out elegant, festive and bright! Pirko Rita, thank you very much for the idea! Happy Easter to everyone!

Awesome Easter egg decor idea! I was afraid that the decor would not hold up well, but it didn’t. After the paste had completely dried, all applications adhered very firmly to the shell. Easter eggs look festive, bright and very impressive! I, however, somewhat complicated the task for myself and decided to cut out the drawings clearly along the contour, and not like the author along with the white part of the napkin. Although such decor takes a lot of time, believe me, it’s worth it. And it will be very nice to give such an Easter gift, beautifully packaging it in a box! In addition, the decor style can be chosen based on your preference or the style of your Easter table.
