I needed to make chocolate frosting to fill the cake, but I didn’t have any chocolate or cream at home. So I used a recipe for chocolate fudge made from cocoa for the cake. She needs the most ordinary products, those that are always available at home. And this helps a lot) Judging by the number of products, it immediately became clear that I needed much less. But I didn’t reduce the portions, I applied the leftovers onto slices of loaf and my daughter and I had a great time) Regarding the recipe, I mixed sugar and cocoa, and then poured it with milk. From my own experience I know that there will definitely be no lumps from cocoa. The rest is all according to the recipe. The fudge turned out smooth, flowing and tasty. It did not completely harden on the surface of the cake, but it thickened noticeably. After cooling, no “sugar crust” formed. Therefore, I think that the recipe works, I will use it.

Chocolate fudge is an indispensable attribute of a sweet dessert. I've been using this recipe for a long time. Also passed down to me from my mother... Instead of milk, sometimes I add cream or sour cream. To taste, you can add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg and even hot pepper, it will be very piquant and certainly tasty. But it depends on the purpose of the fondant.

I also sometimes add cream, and if you add spices, the fudge will become aromatic. Thank you Anet for your kind words and useful information!!!

Hello, hostesses! If you allow me, I'll put in my 2 cents. I have tried several different versions of chocolate fondant for cakes. I liked it best with sour cream; it freezes well and shines.
