Chicken with canned red beans and soy sauce
The dish is unusual, the sauce is simply delicious! Red beans with chicken according to this recipe is a completely self-sufficient dish. You can only supplement it with fresh herbs and a piece of white bread.

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Prepare the products according to the list: chicken or its parts, red beans (pre-boiled or canned), butter, sugar (ideally brown), onions, garlic, spices, be sure to include ginger among them.
STEP 2

Chop the chicken into portions.
STEP 3

Mix in a saucepan with spices, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic and onion. Mix well and leave to marinate for 2-2.5 hours.
STEP 4

Heat sugar and butter in a saucepan or casserole until brown and immediately dip pieces of chicken into it, fry quickly on all sides.
STEP 5

Add a cup of water to the marinade and pour into the pan with the chicken. Simmer for 20 minutes.
STEP 6

Add red beans, simmer for another 15-20 minutes along with the beans.
STEP 7

Homemade red beans with chicken are ready.

It turned out very tasty, tender chicken in sweet and sour sauce! But it’s better to add canned beans at the very end, 20 minutes is too much, they’re overcooked.
