Cake Ship

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make a Ship cake? I'm focusing on decorating this cake rather than making it. You can bake a sponge cake according to any recipe or use the composition here. Cook in the classic way: with eggs, sour cream, kefir, etc. It should be rectangular. Cool the finished biscuit. Cut out templates for parts of the ship from the cake: the base, the bow, two floors of the stern. The upper floor of the stern and sides can be made from biscuit scraps.
STEP 2

According to the templates, cut the biscuit cakes, divide each one lengthwise into two parts. Soak all the cakes with warm milk. Both should not be too thin, otherwise they will break.
STEP 3

Coat the base of the ship with mascarpone cream, lay out a layer of meringue and spread another layer of cream on top.
STEP 4

Repeat the same process with cakes for all parts of the ship - bow, stern and sides.
STEP 5

Place the well-coated and leveled cake in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. Make portholes from the mastic and whip the buttercream.
STEP 6

Place the portholes in their places. Using white cream using a small star nozzle, without applying cream to the upper edges of the cake by 1-1.5 cm on both sides, paint over the sides and deck of the ship.
STEP 7

Decorate the top edges of the cake with red cream.
STEP 8

Place a waterline of colorful round candies at the base of the cake. By the way, you can replace the candies with any other suitable confectionery decoration.
STEP 9

Use a toothpick to attach the printed anchor image to the cake. Set up a side of candy.
STEP 10

Make sails and flags from paper and skewers. Place them in their place.
STEP 11

Apply a border around the base of the cake using blue cream to imitate water. Place a sea of candies around the entire perimeter of the stand. Decorate with candy stones. You can replace any decorative elements with suitable confectionery decorations at your request. A sweet, bright themed cake. The ship is decorated and ready to be served on the festive table for little pirates! Bon appetit and happy holiday!
