It’s good that you reminded me about the delicious beet salad with sour cream. I love it very much, it's just perfect for fasting days. I just grate the beets on a coarse grater and sprinkle with grated walnuts.

LuSey, I’m not offended at all. I “cut” the beets this way precisely because it’s this kind of juicy, wet and, I would even say, simply dripping with juice, that I like most. It’s like you like “wet” pies - a matter of taste. And I really liked MariaS’s presentation - stylish, elegant, you can’t even tell that it’s ordinary beets with sour cream
