A wonderful recipe for dumpling dough from Ukraine! In my opinion, these are the most correct dumplings, the most delicious.
I recently learned that my favorite dish, dumplings, came to us from Turkish cuisine. There they were called “dush-vara”. Gradually it turned into “vareniki.” And only now we all know them as dumplings. My favorite recipe is Ukrainian dumplings.

I knead the dough for dumplings in water. Favorite cottage cheese filling. I also cook it steamed and I like it too.

Ukrainian sweet dumplings can really be topped with butter, but with potatoes and liver, it’s better to mix them with fried onions. I did the second option. By the way, the best dumplings are steamed. They don’t boil over, keep their shape and don’t stick together!
