Tea with orange
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Let's prepare the ingredients according to the list: black loose leaf tea without flavoring additives, orange, sugar (if there is no allergy to taste, sugar can be replaced with honey), cinnamon, cloves. To taste, you can add ingredients such as ginger and nutmeg to obtain a more piquant taste and a warming effect.
STEP 2

Wash the orange thoroughly and remove the zest using a fine grater. The main thing is not to touch the white skin of the orange, otherwise it will give the drink a bitter taste.
STEP 3

Squeeze the juice out of the orange pulp and strain it through cheesecloth or a fine-mesh strainer so that pieces of pulp do not get into the drink.
STEP 4

To fully develop the taste of tea, you need to follow a little trick. Firstly, a teapot or other utensils for brewing tea must be made of glass or ceramics. Secondly, before brewing tea, the kettle must be doused with boiling water and wiped dry. Place a couple of teaspoons of loose leaf tea into the teapot for one cup.
STEP 5

Add a couple of cloves and a pinch of ground cinnamon. It is better to use not ready-made powdered cinnamon, but to grate the required amount from a whole stick.
STEP 6

Add the orange zest to the kettle along with the rest of the ingredients. Add half a teaspoon of sugar (sugar at this stage is needed to fully reveal the flavor of the spices).
STEP 7

Pour hot water into the kettle (hot, but not boiling water, this is also important, otherwise most of the beneficial substances contained in the components of the drink may die). You should not immediately pour water into the full kettle, but only a third of it. Cover the kettle with a lid and leave for 15 minutes.
STEP 8

After the specified time, when the tea has brewed and all the spices have given the tea their taste and aroma, fill the kettle with hot water to the top. Pour the squeezed orange juice into cups and top it up with orange tea. The result is a very pleasant, rich-tasting drink with citrus notes that quenches thirst well, even satisfies and does not require any additives. But if you wish, tea can be served with some pastries or dessert. Enjoy your tea!
