Salmon with cheese baked in the oven

STEP 1

How to bake salmon with cheese in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. I cut steaks from pre-scaled fish. Rinse the steaks thoroughly and dry thoroughly. If the steaks are frozen, defrost them first. It is best to do this in the refrigerator. Choose spices and seasonings to suit your taste.
STEP 2

Sprinkle the steaks with lemon juice, sprinkle with seasoning and basil on all sides, and add salt. Cover the fish and leave for 20 minutes to soak in the seasonings.

Wash the tomatoes, cut into slices.
STEP 4

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
STEP 5

Grease the bottom of the baking dish with vegetable oil. Place salmon steaks. Any heat-resistant mold (metal, ceramic or glass) is suitable for this recipe.

Place tomato slices on each steak.

Sprinkle the tomato layer with grated cheese. If desired, you can sprinkle a little sour cream or mayonnaise on top. This will make the cheese layer more tender.

Cover the pan with a layer of foil. Thanks to this, the fish will be more tender and the cheese top will not dry out.

Bake the salmon with cheese in an oven preheated to 180 C for 25-30 minutes. If you want a golden brown crust, remove the foil a few minutes before cooking and bake until golden brown. Adjust the cooking time and mode based on the operating characteristics of your oven.
STEP 10

Serve salmon with cheese and a side dish or with fresh vegetables and herbs. Bon appetit!
