I saw this quick recipe and remembered how my mother used to make oatmeal jelly in the summer! But my mother’s recipe was too long, and I don’t really like messing around for several days, so I liked the recipe for this whole decoction. I was confused by the presence of yeast, probably to speed up the fermentation, but I didn’t resist and did everything according to the recipe. The only thing is that I added a little salt and sugar, it turned out interesting. And having a snack with such a dessert, I’m not afraid of this word, is quite pleasant. I added various frozen berries. I would like to note that red currant is the most delicious combination 😜

Rolled oatmeal jelly is definitely a healthy recipe. But... not mine. I indicated 20 minutes in preparation, since it takes very little time, except for the fact that it has to sit for a day :) To summarize: it turns out to be a dense jelly that tastes like oatmeal. I could add some sugar to my taste.

Varvara Platonova, good recipe, thank you! But I wonder if it doesn’t drink as you write, Varvara Platonova, it becomes dense and needs to be cut with a knife? Or, when it’s hot, is it drunk like a regular one? I liked the idea, I remember from childhood milk jelly was prepared and served in our family, and I drank it with pleasure, I think this one is no worse, you can add vanilla for taste and sugar, it will be sweet dish, what do you say, Varvara Platonova?

Shura, no, it doesn’t cut with a knife. This jelly needs to be eaten with a spoon. In general, my grandmother always cooked only the kind of jelly that is eaten with a spoon.
