I’ve long wanted to make mastic without gelatin and marshmallows. Thank you. Just tell me, please, does it not spread quickly outside the refrigerator? Won’t all the flowers and leaves melt instantly?

Nika! For some reason, when I see this star, I rejoice, it evokes such pleasant emotions in me - apparently, your energy has been transmitted. You must have had a lot of fun when you made it? Tell me how you liked this recipe. How does the mastic keep its shape and not crumble?

Won’t all the flowers and leaves melt instantly? The mastic holds its shape quite well, so I noticed that it has such a moment , when I take it out of the refrigerator and knead it with my hands, it reaches a certain temperature, at which it is easy and convenient to sculpt; when I cooked it, it was very hot (it’s 37 outside, and I don’t have air conditioning in the kitchen), to say that it leaked? no - it didn't leak. but my son was playing with a piece of mastic and it heated up to such a limit that it became inconvenient to sculpt with it, but for it to directly melt and change the shape of the product, this was not the case.

Thanks for the kind words :) we really had a fun time when everyone sculpted delicious figures from the mastic :) I won’t say that I can make super-duper beautiful flowers or other cake decorations. I make cakes quite often, just like that, for people I love and are close to me, and often I just prepare mastic in order to introduce the children to this business, and then give the cake to, for example, grandparents :) such a delicious handmade card :) Mastic It turned out differently, although I always took the same recipe. I noticed that it crumbles if there is not enough liquid component. I tried to cover a cake with this mastic, there was a moment when it tore a little, I didn’t quite like it, I think for these purposes a different recipe is needed, but it seems good to sculpt with it.

Something I didn’t understand in the ingredients is that you need powdered milk or flour?

Thank you very much for the recipe! And I prepared mastic and tested it in various ways of creating figures. The flower came together easily)
