    Wash the orange and wipe with a napkin. Cut into slices, whole rings or half rings as desired. Remove the seeds.

I needed candied fruits to decorate a cake. I settled on this recipe. Knowing my oven, I set the temperature to 180 degrees. Ira, aren’t candied fruits bitter? I came across a recipe that advises boiling orange slices for a couple of minutes before caramelizing to remove the bitterness from the white part of the zest.
