Armenian lavash with yeast
Lavash should definitely be served at any table! Each nation has its own bread. In the Caucasus they bake lavash. In Armenia they bake their OWN lavash. Any meal seems incomplete if there is no piece of bread with it. And baking bread is most often a collective and ritual activity. Until now, in Armenian villages, neighbors gather and all together bake lavash in tonir. This is a clay oven dug into the ground. We, of course, will bake it in a modern way - in the oven.
Like all traditional bread recipes, this recipe is simple, requiring nothing more than flour, water and yeast.
