Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a tincture of pine nuts using moonshine? Prepare all ingredients according to the list. The main thing is to choose high-quality raw materials and alcohol base. Pine nuts must be fresh, so that no more than a year has passed since the moment of collection; only by using such nuts will it be possible to prepare a medicinal tincture. The freshness of nuts can be determined by their appearance.
STEP 2
They should be smooth, the same size, dark, rich in color, without whitish spots or mold. The kernel of such nuts should be fresh, white and juicy. However, keep in mind that fresh pine nuts contain a lot of resin, which is believed to give the drink an overly tart taste.
STEP 3
To get rid of excess resin in the raw material, rinse the pine nuts thoroughly and pour boiling water so that the water completely covers all the nuts. Leave for five minutes and repeat the procedure three times. Drain the water and dry the nuts.
STEP 4
Place pine nuts in a glass container and fill with moonshine. If desired, you can add a little sugar so that the taste of the tincture acquires a light, subtle sweetness. If the drink is prepared as an alcoholic drink for feasts, then in addition to the indicated ingredients, you can add cinnamon, cloves, orange zest or honey. Additives should not be used to prepare a medicinal tincture. Close the bottle with a rubber cap and put it in a dark place.
STEP 5
You need to infuse the drink for at least two weeks, but the longer it sits, the more aromatic and rich in taste and color the drink will be. Periodically, the tincture needs to be taken out and shaken.
STEP 6
After the specified time, pour the moonshine infused on cedar into another container, strain several times through gauze folded in several layers. Pour the finished tincture into a glass bottle, seal and store in the refrigerator. Our cedar tincture is ready. Help yourself!
