Classic Mai Tai cocktail

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make a classic Mai Tai cocktail? Prepare your food. All ingredients must be chilled; prepare ice in advance. Also cool the glasses by pouring ice into them or putting them in the freezer for 10 minutes. It is recommended to take freshly squeezed juices; if not available, you can use ready-made store-bought ones, but they are natural and of good quality.
STEP 2

Pour 40 ml of white or gold rum, 15 ml of orange liqueur and lime/lemon juice, 10 ml of almond syrup into a shaker, mix everything. You don’t have to have a professional shaker; at home, a sports nutrition shaker works great for me.
STEP 3

Fill the pre-chilled glass halfway with a fresh portion of ice, then pour in the contents of the shaker and 20 ml of black rum.
STEP 4

Quickly add equal parts orange and pineapple juice.
STEP 5

It is customary to garnish the glass with a mint leaf, a slice of pineapple and a slice of orange. Depending on the type of ingredients used, these may include other tropical fruits. They often use a cherry for cocktails, a slice of lime, or a figuratively carved orange peel.
STEP 6

I garnished with a sprig of mint and orange slices, topped it with melted pineapple juice ice and used a cocktail garnish. They drink the cocktail slowly through a narrow straw. Enjoy your tasting!
