If you have something prepared in pieces, then it is better to choose a side angle (from 0 to 45 degrees) to show the relief and structure of the dish (but it is better to shoot pizza from above to clearly show the filling). In this case, the pumpkin would look good on a white, black or gray plate if you lay it out in a heap and place sprigs of rosemary on the sides or sprinkle with needles separated from the branch.
