Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

CAKES: Combine sour cream with sugar, mix.
STEP 2

Add baking powder to the flour, mix, add to the sour cream mixture.
STEP 3

Knead soft elastic dough.
STEP 4

Divide the dough into 8 parts.
STEP 5

Roll each part into a circle with a diameter of 20-22 cm.
STEP 6

Trim the edges using a pan lid or plate. The scraps made 2 more cakes, for a total of 10 cakes.
STEP 7

Bake the cakes in a dry frying pan for 2-3 minutes on each side, moderate heat.
STEP 8

CREAM: beat sour cream with sugar.
STEP 9

Spread the resulting cream over the cakes.
STEP 10

Spread the cream onto the sides and top of the cake. Flatten.
STEP 11

DECORATION: Crush the cookies and decorate the cake.
STEP 12

Place the cake in the refrigerator to soak, preferably overnight. Enjoy your tea!

This is the cake!!! It’s a shame to even cut such beauty! I once made a similar cake, but with custard; it wasn’t soaked well and was a bit harsh. Irish, I wish I could steal a piece of yours for testing)))
