  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make ginger tea with honey and lemon? Prepare your food. Take clean, filtered or bottled water. Do not use tap water; it may have an unpleasant or off-taste. Fresh ginger for tea is better - it will give more aroma and benefits. Adjust the amount of lemon to your taste. Take natural and high-quality honey.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut a small piece about half the size of your thumb from the ginger root. Cut off the top layer, leaving only the light part. Grate the peeled ginger on a fine grater until it becomes a paste. You will need a tablespoon per liter of water. I have a smaller kettle, so I took a teaspoon.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Take a container suitable for brewing tea. It is better to brew it in glass or ceramic; do not use metal or plastic - they may react with a hot drink. I took a glass teapot, you can even brew it in a jar. Place grated ginger in a teapot and pour boiling water over it. Cover the kettle with a towel and leave to brew for 5-10 minutes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

While the ginger is brewing, prepare the lemon. Wash it well under warm water with baking soda and a brush to remove the waxy layer that can be used to protect the fruit from rotting. Cut the lemon into slices.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add lemon slices to the brewed tea. Adjust their quantity based on your taste preferences. Add honey to your tea. Stir. If you are concerned that hot water may have a negative effect on citrus fruits and honey, then add them to the cooled drink. Or drink tea as a snack.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Serve tea to the table. You can also add fresh mint, lemon balm, thyme, sea buckthorn, and currants to it. I drink this tea hot in winter, and chilled in summer. Bon appetit!

I made myself some ginger tea with honey and lemon today. She took a large mug, put grated ginger in it, filled it with hot water, covered it with a saucer and wrapped it in a towel. I let it brew and drank it with lemon and honey. I added a slice of lemon to the tea when it had cooled slightly. The result was a warming, healthy and, of course, tasty drink. Thanks for the recipe!
