Amazing compote! I always freeze cherries for the winter for compotes, but usually I cook them from assorted berries. It’s even strange that I haven’t made compote from just cherries before) I had my doubts about lemon juice, because cherries themselves are sour. But after adding sugar, the taste of the compote evened out and became very harmonious. The compote is simply delicious, it quenches your thirst perfectly. It’s warm here now, it’s generally hot at home, so I want something tasty to quench my thirst. And it cooks quickly. I especially liked the fact that the compote is boiled for only five minutes and then infused. This preserves the maximum amount of vitamins, which is especially important in the fall. Thanks for the recipe!
