The pie is truly wonderful, if it weren’t for the step-by-step photos, I would never have figured out how such beauty is made. Regarding the cold oven, I wouldn’t risk the yeast dough anyway.

The recipe can probably be adjusted a little for variety. I would add apples or grated lemon to the filling instead of candied fruits, or even just jam. The beauty is in the form. Such a beautiful flower. The kids will probably be happy to “tear off” its “petals”

If you put it in a cold oven, the dough has time to rise a little more at a low temperature. I read this advice somewhere and now I use it often. Puff pastry definitely shouldn’t be placed this way. With yeast everything is different.
