Burdock tincture with vodka
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Let's prepare the ingredients according to the list. All parts of the plant can be used to prepare tincture, but it is believed that the most beneficial substances are contained in the burdock root. You need to dig up the roots in late autumn, from the end of September until frost, at which time the above-ground part of the plant begins to die, giving up everything useful to the roots.
STEP 2
We clean the burdock root from the soil and wash it thoroughly. We grate the root; if it is too hard, you can simply divide it into thin fibers or finely chop it with a knife. Place the burdock root in a glass container and fill it with vodka. It is important to use a high-quality product purchased from a trusted manufacturer as an alcohol base.
STEP 3
We close the container with burdock with a nylon or rubber lid and place it in a cool, dark place, ideally leaving it for one month. Every week the container with the tincture needs to be shaken.
STEP 4
Then filter the liquid from the bottle through a strainer and gauze, pour the tincture into a glass bottle.
STEP 5
The tincture is ready, it is better to store it in the refrigerator. Burdock tincture tastes very bitter, so some people, if they are not allergic, add a little honey to the tincture. But since burdock tincture is used as a medicine, in moderate doses, you can simply wash it down with water or another sweet drink.
