  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make compote from frozen strawberries? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Frozen strawberries do not need to be thawed in advance.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the prepared berries in a suitable pan and fill with water. Place the pan on the fire and bring to a boil. When heated, the berries will have time to defrost.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Rinse the orange thoroughly in running water. Then zest it. In general, the presence of orange in this compote is optional. The subtle aroma of orange zest pleasantly highlights the strawberry notes. I love!

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add orange zest and sugar to the pan. You can change the amount of sugar in one direction or another according to your taste. Mix everything and boil the compote for another 3-5 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat and cover with a lid. Leave the compote to brew for a while. It will be enough to give him 15-20 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Then strain the finished compote through a sieve and cool. Although this is a matter of taste. If you like the compote with berries, then you don’t have to strain it. Strawberries in compote are very tasty.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour the strawberry compote into a decanter and serve. The compote is ready! Enjoy your meal!

In the spring I started emptying out the freezer and found a bag of strawberries. It was decided to make strawberry compote from frozen strawberries. For compote, I always use filtered water to avoid any foreign tastes or odors. I replaced the orange with tangerine, I was wondering what would happen. I also added half a teaspoon of lemon juice. I used half as much sugar and used it according to my taste. I insisted the compote for 20 minutes. I really liked the combination of strawberries and citruses. The strawberry flavor is so rich! The tangerine note is also very noticeable. The taste of the compote is sweet, slightly tart, rich. An excellent drink that quenches thirst well.

Homemade compote is much better than soda from the supermarket! Fast, tasty, healthy and kids like it. A healthy and pleasant-tasting drink, my family really likes this strawberry compote. I always add a couple more lime wedges to it for sourness.
