  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

In this recipe we will look at how to cook baked beets in foil in the oven. We take beets, a baking sleeve and foil.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Turn on the oven at 200 degrees, let it warm up properly. Take the beets and wash them thoroughly. I usually rub it with the back of a sponge, since I don’t have a special brush. Place the prepared beets in a baking sleeve and tie them tightly on the sides, trying to release all the air from the sleeve as much as possible.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then we wrap it all in 2-3 layers of foil and put it in a preheated oven.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

I roast beets on the middle shelf. And I put it directly on the wire rack, without a baking sheet. It takes about 1.5 hours to bake medium-sized beets; if the beets are small, then an hour is enough; if they are large, then increase the time.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

We check the readiness of the beets with a match or toothpick. Leave the finished beets to cool, wrapped in foil. That's all, now you can use it as you wish. Baked beets can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days, I think during this time not a trace will remain of them, because they are very tasty!

Loved this recipe, thanks for it! This was my first experience of roasting whole beets in foil in the oven. I was also interested in the fact that the beets must first be packed in a baking sleeve. And as a result, after a few hours, soft, bright, healthy beets are ready! Now this is the only way I’ll cook beets

I was interested in the recipe for whole baked beets in foil in the oven. In general, I like baked beets better, because they are tastier, brighter and not watery like boiled ones, for example. For baking, I chose fresh, clean and smooth beets. I washed the root vegetables with a silicone vegetable brush; it does not scratch the skin and washes off the dirt well. I wrapped the beets in a sleeve and foil. This is interesting, I haven’t done this before). Bake for 2 hours at 200°C. Then she pierced the beetroot with a thin knife, which went in easily. So it's ready! I really liked the appearance after cooling. The skin came off easily! The taste of beets is rich and sweet! But this largely depends on the beets themselves. Baked beets are great for salads and just eaten with aromatic oil, sea salt and spices.
