Terpug baked in the oven

Delicious, with vegetables, under a cheese crust! Terpug is a wonderful fish with tender meat and a small amount of bones. It bakes in the oven very simply and quite quickly. Without any effort, you will get a full-fledged fish dish for the second.

Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake greenlings in the oven? To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients. If the fish is frozen, place it in containers on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator and keep it until completely thawed.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Clean the terpuga from scales and rinse under cold water. The scales of the greenling are quite small and fit tightly on the body. To clean, use a special device or quickly pour hot, about 80 degrees, water over the fish. But not with boiling water, otherwise you will cook the top layer. Remove the head and entrails, rinse, dry and cut into portions.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place sour cream in a bowl, pour in vegetable oil and lemon juice.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add salt and black pepper to the bowl with sour cream. Regular black pepper can be replaced with white or green pepper.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place dried herbs in a bowl. You need dry herbs; fresh herbs will burn during cooking and lose their color.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour water into the bowl and mix everything well.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Grease a 16*21 centimeter baking dish with vegetable oil. Peel and grate the carrots on a medium grater, place in an even layer on the bottom of the pan.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Peel and chop the onion, place on top of the carrots.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices, place on top of the vegetables. The thinner you cut the potatoes, the faster they will cook.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Dip each piece of greenling into the sour cream mixture and place on top of the potatoes. Pour the remaining sour cream mixture into the mold and shake it a little so that the liquid spreads evenly.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place in a hot oven and bake everything at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Focus on your oven. The potatoes should be completely cooked. Remove the pan with the fish from the oven. At this stage you can already serve, but it still tastes better under the cheese crust.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Grate the cheese on a medium grater and pour over the top of the greens and potatoes. Place back in the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes to desired degree. Remove the cooked fish and serve immediately.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

    Bon appetit.

It's sooo delicious! Prepare it too and you won’t regret it! Now I’ll tell you about everything in more detail! From the assortment of fresh fish, I always buy greenling. I like the fish because it is fatty, tender and has few bones. I usually cook it in a frying pan with the addition of onions and carrots. I wanted some variety, and my favorite website helped me with this. I defrosted the terpug, cleaned it of scales and entrails. Washed well and dried. Cut into portions. Add sour cream, vegetable oil, lemon juice, a little water, salt, pepper and dried, chopped basil to the bowl. She mixed everything thoroughly. Then she began to work with pre-peeled vegetables. I grated the carrots on a coarse grater. I cut the onions into half rings and the potatoes into circles. I greased the baking dish with vegetable oil. I placed carrots in the first layer, onions in the second and potatoes in the third. Each piece of greenling was dipped in the sour cream mixture and placed on the vegetables. Pour the rest of the sour cream mixture on top. Place the mold with greens and vegetables in a preheated oven. Before final preparation, I took out the mold and sprinkled with grated cheese. I left it to cook for some more time until a golden, cheesy crust formed. The baked terpug in the oven captivated both me and my whole family! Tender fish and vegetables harmonize perfectly with a delicate, sour cream filling with the piquancy of lemon and basil. The cheese is very appetizing when you grab your fork while eating! Original, simple and incredibly tasty! Suitable not only for everyday, but also for holiday tables! Thanks to the author for the recipe!
