Heat the vegetable oil in a thick-bottomed saucepan, add the meat and fry, stirring, until the pieces appear golden brown. Add just a little water (50-70 ml), reduce the heat to moderate and simmer the meat under a closed lid for 30 minutes.

    While the meat is stewing, prepare the vegetables. Peel the onions and garlic, wash the carrots and potatoes in running water with a brush, peel them.

    Rinse all vegetables, bay leaves and herbs under running water. Wash the bell peppers under running water, cut in half, remove the stem, core and seeds.

    After boiling, reduce the stove to a level slightly below medium and simmer under a closed lid for about 40 minutes (depending on the type of potato). As a result, the potatoes should fall apart when pressed. Our stewed potatoes with pork meat is ready. Place it on plates and serve.

Today I made the second recipe: stewed potatoes with pork in a saucepan. I took a cauldron with a thick bottom for cooking; it’s convenient to fry meat in it, and that’s exactly what I had to do. I cut the pork into pieces, put it in a cauldron and fried it in vegetable oil. Then she poured hot water over the meat, brought it to a boil and left it to simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. She cut the vegetables and put them in a cauldron with the meat. Instead of tomatoes I put tomato paste. After adding water, I left the potatoes to simmer for 40 minutes. It turned out delicious! Both the meat and vegetables were stewed well and became soft. The pork came out very juicy and easily broke into fibers. I liked that all the vegetables were put into the pan at the same time, and then the dish was simmered over low heat until cooked. Very comfortably! Thank you very much for the recipe!
