  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry simple flatbreads in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Heat the water in a kettle or saucepan to a temperature of 40 degrees. Pour it into a deep bowl, add salt, stir with a spoon until it dissolves. Now start adding flour (220 g), which must first be sifted through a strainer so that no foreign impurities get into the dough. Start kneading the dough with a spoon.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

When the dough comes together, turn it out onto a floured work surface. Gradually add the remaining flour (30 grams) and knead the dough. You may need a little less or a little more flour, depending on the properties of the flour itself. Focus on the consistency of the dough; it should not be too tight, but not too soft. Form the dough into a ball and let it rest under the film for 10 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Form a sausage from the ball and cut it into 10-12 equal pieces. Dust the table and pieces of dough with flour. I got 10 pieces.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Set 9 pieces aside, and roll one with a rolling pin into a thin cake the same size as the bottom of your frying pan. If the cake doesn’t come out perfectly round, and that’s exactly what you want, then you can use a plate of a suitable size as a template and cut off the edges that will peek out from under it. Next, form the rest of the cakes in the same way.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Heat the pan well over medium heat, do not grease it with anything. Place the tortilla in the hot pan and fry for 20-30 seconds on each side until brown spots appear. Do not over-dry the tortillas, otherwise they will be dry and will crack when you try to roll them.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Ready-made water cakes without yeast can be immediately placed in a plastic bag so that they remain soft and easily roll into a tube if you suddenly want to additionally fill them with meat, cheese or vegetables. Bon appetit!

I did it with 100 ml of water. The dough is very easy to roll, soft and pliable. If you suddenly run out of bread at home, then simple flatbreads in a frying pan are like a lifesaver. Simple, fast, tasty.
