Puff pastry pie with mushrooms

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make puff pastry pie with mushrooms? Prepare your food. Use store-bought or homemade puff pastry. Any mushrooms will do - champignons, like mine, oyster mushrooms, wild mushrooms. Cheese is one that melts well, is of high quality, without vegetable fats.
STEP 2

Rinse the champignons thoroughly, cut off all dark and damaged areas. Cut the mushrooms into small slices. You can cut the champignons into thin slices, or into small cubes, as you prefer.
STEP 3

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add peeled and finely chopped onions. Fry it lightly, then add chopped champignons to the frying pan and stir. Fry the mushrooms and onions over high heat, stirring frequently. Add salt and spices to taste. All the liquid should evaporate and the mushrooms should brown.
STEP 4

Thaw the puff pastry, if purchased, and unwrap it. The formation of the pie will depend entirely on how the puff pastry is cut. If this is one layer, then it will be enough to simply unfold it, but if there are several separate layers, then you will need to lay out the filling on one part and cover the second, without folds.
STEP 5

Place the filling of fried champignons and onions on one half of the puff pastry, sprinkle with hard cheese, grated on a coarse grater. Do not spread the filling all the way to the edges, leave a little space for pinching.
STEP 6

Cover the laid out filling with the second part of the dough and then pinch the edges very tightly. You can do this with your hands, or you can use a fork.
STEP 7

Grease the top of the pie with a small amount of vegetable oil and place in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes. The puff pastry pie with mushrooms should rise noticeably and brown. Remove the finished pie from the oven, cool it slightly and serve. Bon appetit!
