Mackerel fish cutlets

STEP 1

How to make mackerel fish cakes without eggs? Rinse the rice and cook until done.
STEP 2

Fillet the mackerel. Remove the tail, head and fins. Cut along the ridge of the carcass to the spine. Turn over onto its side. Using a sharp knife, cut the meat from the spinal bone. Turn the carcass over and cut off the fillet on the other side. Clean the inside, removing the black film, as it is bitter and will spoil the taste. Rinse and be sure to dry thoroughly. Chop the onion as desired.
STEP 3

Pass the mackerel fillets and onions through a meat grinder or grind everything in a food processor.
STEP 4

Add rice to the minced meat. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir. With wet hands, form small patties.
STEP 5

Roll the cutlets in breadcrumbs and fry in well-heated vegetable oil for 10 minutes on each side until golden brown.
STEP 6

Serve the tender fish cutlets warm with a side dish of your choice (rice or mashed potatoes). Enjoy your meal!
