Khachapuri with suluguni cheese

So delicious that you can't stop eating! Fantastic! Cooking khachapuri with suluguni cheese is not at all difficult. They turn out soft, with a sticky cheese filling, very tasty! Hot khachapuri, greased with butter, is especially good. Try it!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make khachapuri with suluguni cheese in the oven? Prepare the ingredients for the test first.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sift 350 grams of flour into a bowl. Thanks to this, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished dough will turn out more tender and fluffy. Add yeast and mix well.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat the water slightly to a temperature of approximately 38 degrees. It should become pleasantly warm, but not hot. Otherwise, the yeast may die if it comes into contact with it. Read about all the intricacies of working with yeast in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Add salt, sugar and vegetable oil to the water.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour the water into the flour. Knead the dough. Mix first with a spoon and then with your hands. The dough will quickly become smooth, elastic and non-sticky. During the kneading process you may need more flour, use the remaining 50 grams or a little more. Cover the bowl and leave the dough to rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes. I always put yeast dough in the oven with the light on.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, set aside a little, you will need to sprinkle it on top of the khachapuri. Also grate the butter. Mix cheese and butter.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

The dough will approximately double in size after rising.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Separate half the dough and place it on a floured work surface. Roll out the dough into a circle about 5mm thick. Place half of the cheese filling in the center of the dough and distribute it evenly.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Gather the edges of the dough towards the center into a knot and pinch.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Carefully roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a thin cake. Turn it seam side down. Use a knife to make a small hole in the center to allow steam to escape.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place the cake on a baking sheet lined with parchment or greased with oil. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article about the features of parchment, the link is at the end of the recipe. Brush the top with beaten egg. Sprinkle with reserved cheese.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Bake khachapuri in the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes until golden brown. The exact time and temperature will vary depending on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Remove the finished khachapuri from the oven and immediately brush with butter. Serve khachapuri hot.

Cheese can be different. I prepared khachapuri with Adyghe and hard cheese.
