Homemade Lenten Pizza

STEP 1

How to make lean pizza in the oven at home? First, prepare the ingredients for the dough. Pour yeast, sugar, and a couple of tablespoons of wheat flour into a deep bowl. Pour in a glass of warm water. The water should be just warm, but not scalding, otherwise the yeast in it will die. Mix everything until a homogeneous mixture is obtained and leave for 15 minutes in a warm place.
STEP 2

Sift the wheat flour to saturate it with oxygen. This will make the dough fluffier and more tender. Pour vegetable oil into the bowl with the yeast mixture and stir. Start adding sifted wheat flour in small portions, stirring the dough each time. Depending on the quality of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. STEP 3

When the dough becomes difficult to mix with a spatula, turn it out onto a floured work surface and continue kneading the dough with your hands. Knead until the dough stops sticking to your palms. It should be elastic, smooth and soft. Place the dough back into the bowl, cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for an hour.
STEP 4

Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the filling. You can use any mushrooms: champignons or wild mushrooms, fried or pickled. I added pickled whites. Fresh mushrooms can be fried with onions. If pickled mushrooms are used, then grated carrots with finely chopped onions can be fried in a frying pan to add a pleasant flavor to the vegetable-fried pizza.
STEP 5

You can also use vegetables for pizza that you like and have on hand. And I used tomatoes and bell peppers. Wash the tomatoes, cut into circles, small cubes or slices if the tomatoes are small.
STEP 6

Wash the bell pepper, cut out the seed pod, and cut the flesh into strips. To add a pleasant sourness, you can add a small piece of finely chopped pickled cucumber or olive.
STEP 7

Punch down the risen dough and proceed to baking the pizza. Roll out the dough into a circle according to the size of the mold. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees.
STEP 8

STEP 9

Brush the dough with tomato paste or sauce. Place the ingredients prepared for the filling onto the base one by one. Place the pizza in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
